AT AES
The campus liaison collaborates with staff to create meaningful learning opportunities during Military Family Month, Veterans Day, and Month of the Military Child. The campus liaison shares book recommendations, celebrates student achievements, and promotes awareness of military families through campus announcements and activities. In partnership with the Fine Arts department, the campus liaison helps coordinate the annual Veterans Day program, which honors military families through patriotic performances, student presentations, and a slideshow recognizing veterans and active-duty family members. During Month of the Military Child, the campus liaison hosts a luncheon honoring military-connected students and sponsors student leadership programs that support new students, especially those from military families. Student Ambassadors welcome new students, provide tours, introduce peers and staff, and participate in service projects honoring veterans. Kindness Crew members help new military-connected students feel included, while Student Council organizes care packages, holiday cards, and special events for military families. Through these programs and initiatives, the campus liaison helps foster a supportive and inclusive environment for military-connected students and their families.
